About Me

I am a mother of 4. I love to read books and listen to music. I enjoy spending time with my children and my family. I speak English and Spanish fluently so I do interpreting work at times.

Why I am a Mormon

I chose to become a member of the church because, it only made sense to. I started studying in June 2012 with the missonaires, and I had alot of doubts, and questions about alot of things... I did some investigating, and read the Book of Mormon, along with the pamplets the missonaires provided. I Prayed vigorously and lo and behold I got this feeling in my heart, I knew that this was the anwser to all of my questions, the more I read and prayed, the more questions i asked... It all just made sense. This is the one true church. It is the only church that is built with the same principles as the church that Jesus Christ originally founded. It seems alittle, "hard to believe" at first but, by reading the Book of Mormon, praying about it, compare it to the Bible, you will come to understand that it just makes sense. I feel so inlightened, I never in my whole life understood anything as much as I understand God's Plan... It is just so awesome. I was baptized in October 2012, so I haven't been a member for too long, today's date is Jan 3 2013. But I can tell you this. The Holy Ghost plays a great and wonderful role in my life, It is knowing that GOD is with your 24/7 you can feel his presence, he lets you know, when your headed in the wrong direction. He prompts you constantly. You never have to feel lost or forsaken. Not saying you wont have anymore challenges in life, trust me you will. But the beautiful thing about it is that all you have to do is PRAY. If you do something wrong, REPENT, and Just ENDURE to the end. Life is just a wrinkle in time, but all eternity by the side of our loved ones and our Heavenly Father is worth every bit of it. I am critized and so frown upon me, because they don'y understand the fullness of the gospel, or chose to not learn, or give a opritunity, but that is ok, GOD knows, and I know, and that is all that matters. I try to help as many as I can along the way. I can't save everyone, but atleast I can save a few. This is a great feeling!!!

How I live my faith

I live through my faith and through my understanding of WWJD, that's like my motto.... I also live the words of Wisdom, I do misson work often with the missionaires in my ward. They call me thier "Mom" away from home, even if I am not technically old enough to be their mother. I attend church every Sunday and Every fireside meeting (love them) I talk to my peers and other family members about my faith and what we believe, I find it very important to spead the gospel, your salvation depends on it :) I pray often, and I try to be the best example for my children and others, I am not perfect by no means, but atleast I know that I try my best. God does not judge you for all that you know, or how many posts you have held, but for the works that you do. If you give the missonaires the opritunity to teach you the Plan of Salvation, and If you pray to God and ask him if all these things are true, you can be as happy as I am... I all starts with Anwsering a knock at your door, do be scared to ask questions, that is how we learn and grow. I always wondered which church was the true church. Now I can say, without the shadow of doubt that the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints IS the one true church. We don't destroy you beliefs, or tear them down, we only build upon them, making your testimony for Jesus stronger, and your knowledge of the gospel more abundant. Give it a chance. PRAY about it :)

Why do some call Mormonism a cult?

Sometimes people fear what they do not understand. But what they need to understand is, that just proves that our church is the one true church, if every other "christian church" is derived from either Catholic or Protestant, well what does that mean? It means we are awesome :) Show more Show less

What is the Law of Chastity?

To be spiritually, mentally and physically pure. To not fornicate, and once married do not commit adultery, not to lust for someone else, thus keeping yourself pure mentally, and respecting yourself, dress modestly I think that it is a very awesome law, never meant to be broken. Just imagine if everyone lived by this law, the world would be such a better place :) Show more Show less
