Hi I'm Aaron

I was born in Houston. I am one of 6 eagle scouts in my immediate family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the youngest of a family of six boys. I was born into the church and I am very excited to be serving a mission soon. My family has always been a good example for me and I couldn't have asked for greater siblings or parents. I am a college student and I strive to be successful in all that I do and teach others. I have friends from school and the church and I try to be an example for my non-member friends. I have always loved music and find relief from the stresses of everyday by playing either the piano or any type of saxophone.

Why I am a Mormon

I choose to continue to be a member of the church because, there is no where I would rather be than in this church. The people I have grown up around are all examples of what I wanted to be in the future - christ-like. I'm happy to know that nothing has pulled me away from this church and when times were hard I kept with it and didn't let go. My family is so diverse in age that my oldest brother was eighteen when I was born, my next oldest was seven years older than I was, so I never had much of a close sibling. All I knew back then was the example they showed me and that has molded me into what I am now. I have built a testimony not on my own but through scripture reading and continual grown of my knowledge of the gospel. I have ask myself if the gospel is true and if the church truly was restored and have received an answer through the Holy Spirit. I hold the Aaronic Priesthood and will soon hold the Melchizedek Priesthood because the priesthood was restored in these the latter-days.

How I live my faith

I am serving my mission in Hong Kong and have held callings within my college ward and back at home with my family. At home I was lucky enough to be called as the stake youth committee co-chair. I was blessed to be a councilor to my bishop or other president of my group and was blessed enough to be the president of two priesthood groups. I have tried to live BY faith and keep myself open to anything I am asked to do. I have never refused a calling and don't plan to in the future.

What will the Mormon missionaries talk about when they visit my home?

Aaron
The missionaries will only be sharing a message about Jesus Christ and His Atonement and what this means to you. They will only increase your faith of Jesus Christ - they are not salesmen. They will teach about Heavenly Father's plan of salvation and show you what steps we all must take in order to return to live with Him again. Show more Show less
