Hi I'm Kaydn

I'm extremely blonde, I love people, I LOVE anything and everything about the outdoors..... and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I'm Kaydn and I am a full time missionary currently serving in the North Carolina Charlotte Mission! I love it here, and the food is great! It's been a HUGE learning experience, and I see my Heavenly Father work in my life EVERY day! Before my mission I was a full time college student with a part time job. . I have lived in the same house my whole life, so I know my neighborhood well, and I loved to serve the elder who watched me grow up. I love hiking, biking camping, jogging, yard work, and just about anything else outdoors. I also play piano, viola, and organ. I got my eagle scout award, and I worked at a grocery store for a while, and a farm/greenhouse.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it brings me true joy! I can't even imagine life without my religion! I have learned, for myself, the power of prayer and I know that God hears and anwers all prayers. I have felt his love many times. I know he cares about each person on earth, so I feel like I need to live Christs teaching to honor him. I also love being Mormon because it gives life direction and purpose! I can be hard to live 100% righteous, but I try my hardest because I owe it to God! I'm glad that I know where I'm going when I die. I'm glad I know why I am here on earth, and I know that we will be together again after we die! Being a Mormon is my whole life, and I strive to live it teachings every day. By trying to do this, I learn faith! Faith is VERY imporant! We need to have that belief and knowledge that Christ atoned for out sins, so we can repent for everything we do wrong! Every day I practice faith, even by simply saying a prayer! I LOVE Jesus and Heavenly Father, and I know they love me, and they both want what is best for all of us! I know that they send the Holy Ghost to helpe us out, and that's how I know they care!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being a good example to others around me. I try to live like my savior would have me live. I have three calling which are ward organist, Webelos scout learder, and ward missionary. I love playing the organ at curch because there is always a need for people who play. I LOVE being a scout leader because I can help young boys become better people by teaching them life principles, and by teaching them good manners. I also am a ward missionary. This gives me an opportunity to contact less active people in my area who are struggling with life, and I get to help them with their problems by teaching them how to rely on Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. I get to teach them how to bless their own lives, and everyones lives around them! Also, I live my faith by simply being kind to others wherever I go!

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

There many people who think that Mormons only help Mormons. This is not true. Many people believe this because it appears that wat, when in reality, we all have our friends like others have their friends. We our friends from out religion, so we assiciate with them. However, we do not only befriend fellow Mormons. During disaster, the LDS church (Mormons) are one of the first people to show up on site to help everyone! Also, missionaries are out there to find everyone who needs direction in life, and bring them closer to christ. Missionaries helpe those people who are not of our faith most of the time. And in neighborhoods, Mormons may just want to "force religion" on others so they avoid them. But they should be willing to share what our religion is about. It can be sacry doing that, and that why they are timid at times. We believe in helping everyone because we are all Gods children, and he loves us all! We believe that we (everyone on earth) are brothersand sister, so we try to love everyone! We are taught to even love out enemies! Show more Show less
