Hi I'm Zechariah Carter

I grew up in Arizona. I love my family and friends, playing sports, and hanging out. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born to a wonderful family in 1993. I was born and raised in Arizona. My parents are very active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and love the Lord. I have two older brothers and two younger sisters, so I’m the middle child. I went to high school at a school called Mountain View. All of my family is abnormally large in stature, which has been very useful for sports. I am six foot seven inches tall and I love to play sports through varsity football, basketball, and volleyball. I’ve been able to meet many friends both of my faith and not. My friends and family mean the world me. Both of my brothers and my father served missions for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I am currently serving my own mission in Edmonton Canada. When I come back I will hopefully go to school at Pima Community College for basketball.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints because I have a testimony that is the true church upon the earth today. A big part of the reason that I have such a strong testimony is because the example my Dad has set for me. As I’ve watched him throughout the years, I’ve seen the light of Christ shine through him. The gospel always gave him so much strength and happiness. I decided at that I wanted the same strength and happiness that he always had and truly the gospel has strengthened me and helped me in times of need. I know that Heavenly Father lives and loves us and wants us to return and to live with Him. I believe this with all of my heart. I am so grateful to be serving a mission in Edmonton, Cananda. It has helped me so much. I hope that everyone will come and see what the Lord has in store for them by learning about his gospel.

How I live my faith

Even though I have tried to be the best example I could, it hasn’t been until my mission that I truly have felt like I have lived my faith. I have come to realize that the commandments are for our benefit. Rather than begrudging following the commandments, I have the chance to show the world what I believe through following them willingly. Also, accepting church callings that were given to me has helped me to live my faith. Before I left on my mission I had the opportunity to accept a calling to teach little children between the ages of six and seven. The testimonies of those innocent little children has grown mine in immense capacities. My faith has grown stronger and stronger through these experiences, which has enabled me to show faith in every aspect of my life from the friends that I have to the little things I do each day.
