Hi I'm Shaun

I am a hairstylest in Gilbert AZ, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 20 years old, living in AZ and preparing for a LDS mission! I am currently working in a hair salon and I love it! It is my dream job! I've wanted to do hair since I was 7 years old. I guess you could say I'm living the dream. All growing up I played TONS of sports.. my family lives for sports. I played soccer, volleyball, softball, track, and I was the wrestling manager for my school for years! I still love sports, and am always ready to go do something fun! I have the most amazing friends and family who have been so supportive in everything I've done!

Why I am a Mormon

To be honest, all growing up I didn't care to much for church. It was just something I did cause my parents told me to. It wasn't till about my freshman year of highschool that I was scared that I didn't have a testimony. What was I to do? Then it dawned on me.. Joseph Smith was kinda in the same position as me. He read James 1:5 "If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God.." So that's what I did. I knelt down and poured out my heart to God with pure intent. There were no angels, but I cannot deny how strong the Holy Ghost was. It was like he was saying "what are you doing?! You know the Chruch is true!!" The Holy Ghost testified to me, and still testifies to me this day. Prayer is only part of true conversion. You need to ponder and pray about the scriptures. I am so thankful for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, it is truely the key to happiness. If you learn it, and live it.. you will love it.

How I live my faith

Preparing for a mission has definitely strengthened my testimony. I have been doing a lot of scripture study throughout the day, and done a lot of praying. I just finished writing my testimony in a Book of Mormon and I am hoping for some inspiration on who to give it to! I'm super nervous, but it will totally be worth it in the end!! I love missionary work! I always have! I was so excited that I got called to be a ward missionary. What better way to help me prepare?
