Hi I'm Carlos Andres Heredia

I'm a singer/guitar player, Ultimate Frisbee enthusiast, and a Texan. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in Houston Texas. I have two younger brothers, making me the oldest. I am currently serving as a missionary for the Church in the California Rancho Cucamonga mission for the next two years. Before my mission I attended Brigham Young University (BYU) in Provo, Utah for a sememster and after my mission I will continue studying there. I love to play all kinds of sports, including basketball, soccer, ultimate frisbee, and football. I love camping, hiking and the outdoors. I love to sing in choirs, play the guitar, and hang out with friends.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that this church is the true Church of Jesus Christ. I know it's true because I've asked my Heavenly Father personally, through prayer, if it was true and my answer was yes. I have a strong testimony in the power of prayer and that Heavnely Father can and does answer them always. I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God. I've read it completely through severally times and I can testify that it is true. By reading it and praying to know if it's true we can known the truth of all things. This Gospel has brought me so much happiness and so many blessings that I'm now using two years of my life to preach the Gospel so that others can feel that same happiness that I feel in this Church. I know that in this Church families can be together forever if we follow the commandments and endure to the end. That's what this Church is all about

How I live my faith

When I was in high school I was the leader of my youth group at church. I was also a member of a youth activities committee that organized events for the youth in our area of all the members in our city. I've also been a mission leader, which is basically just a position where I promoted, encouraged, and supported the efforts of our church missionaries. As members of the church we also are home teachers. We go out in pairs and every pair has assigned families that we visit in order to help them with anything they need and help them grow spiritually by sharing spiritual messages from our own experiences. Every member of the church is a home teacher.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

Carlos Andres Heredia
As a missionary and member of the Church we constantly challenge people to hear our message, not to convert more people to the church, but to help them find out for themselves if this is the true Church of Jesus Christ. How we do that is by inviting others to sincerely pray to God, our Heavenly Father and ask him directly if this is true. We don't ask others to believe us. We ask them to ask the source of all truth if this is right. We also encourage continual study and pondering the scriptures to seek answers. The Lord works in mysterious ways and the way in which he answers our prayers are no different. We let others find out for themselves if the message of the Restored Gospel is true and let our Heavenly Father, who is the Father of us all, guide them to the right path for them. Show more Show less
