Hi I'm Christine Brooke

I grew up in Utah. I'm a cosmetologist. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I'm a sophmore attending college to become an Elementary teacher. I graduated from high school with my cosmetology license. My parents got a divorce when I was in Jr. High, it was a very trying time for me, but I have enjoyed learning how to let this help me learn different things, especially about my faith. I come from a big family, and love children. I'm a dancer, reader and wanna be singer. I love sports, especially volleyball.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I chose to be. I was raised in this faith, and have experienced what it was like to not be a part of it. There is a spirit and a comfort that comes from living the standards of this faith that without left me feeling empty or like something was missing. I chose to be a Mormon not because my parents raised me that way, but because I love the feeling that it gives me and I know that what we believe and teach is true. Through this faith I know that I have a loving Heavenly Father. I know that I have a savior, Jesus Christ, and that through him and his love, I can repent and become like him. I know that we have a living prophet, Thoman S. Monson, who loves each of us, and can lead us to do good. I know that the scriptures, including the Book of Mormon, are true. I know that families can be together forever. I know that Joseph Smith translated the Book of Mormon. I know that we have a priesthood on this earth that can bless us. I know that this church is true. And that is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my standards and faith on a day to day baisis. Some of the things i've done in my wards that have influenced me are a ward missionary, and also an on an enrichment commity. As a ward missionary we reach out to those people who are either not members, or who used to be. We strive to invite them to activities to help them become more involved with people. Through this we also invite them to learn more about our faith and beliefs. As an enrichment commity we reach out to the women in the ward and try to help everyone get to know eachother. This creates friendships, and also gives the women a supporst system if they need it. I've had other callings, all which have blessed my life. With out these activities I wouldn't have known people to help me when I was moving. We work together like a family. I love this faith, and love to share it.
