Hi I'm Natalie

I am a sophomore in college. I am a sister. I am a friend. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Natalie. I am in college currently studying Psychology. I love to learn about different cultures.I enjoy organizing, writing and spending time with my family. I was recently called as a missionary for the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born to parents who were members of the church. As a child I just went to church and lived the gospel because it was what my parents did. As I got older my church leaders and parents encouraged me not to rely on the testimony of others. I was encouraged to gain a testimony of my own. I began to study the scriptures, particularly the Book of Mormon, on my own and prayed to know that it was true. I continue to study the gospel and pray for confirmations that what I am studying is true. I have gained a personal testimony of the gospel. I no longer have to rely on the testimony of my parents like I did as a child. My testimony has been strengthened many times due to the small and simple experiences and confirmations that I have had. I know that the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is true! I try my best to live the gospel and it brings so much happiness into my life. Despite all the blessings I have received from living the gospel, I still have gone through lots of trials. When life is hard I turn to Christ and pray to Him. He has given me the comfort and strength that I need to carry through. I have a personal relationship with my Savior, Jesus Christ. I know that He loves me and I love Him. I am so grateful for the influence that the gospel has had in my life. I do not know where I would be without it. I live it and I love it. It's true!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by doing service. I have found that through service, I come to love those people I serve and draw closer to Christ. I am currently serving as a family home evening coordinator in my ward. I am in charge of planning a weekly activity and gospel message for a group of young single adults in my ward. I am also a visiting teacher. I am responsible for visiting with two women in my ward and sharing a brief message with them. I have come to love visiting teaching because it is a great opportunity for women to strengthen one another. I do service through my church callings, but also look for other opportunities in which I can serve and show love to those around me each day. I can't wait to be a missionary and dedicate my time fully to the Lord and serving His children!
