Hi I'm Carson

Hello! My name is Carson! I am a lover of comedy, literature, and in repetition of the oh so obvious, yes, I am a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Carson. I was so named for the "rarity" of the name. However later we found out that there was already someone in our family with that name. Anyway, right now I am soap boxing it up in Romania, and spreading the gospel! I love it here! The people are just amazing, and I will be so depressed when I come home and nobody understands the second language that I now speak. I am a lover of good comedy. In fact, when I return home from my mission, I would like to slap my name into that metaphorical hall of comedians. I have a lot of interests. By saying that, I don't mean only that I make my cake and eat it too. I mean I build the oven myself and grow the wheat. I love reading, I love writing, I love hiking, I love the mountains, I love the rolling hills, I love food, I love biking, running, talking, breathing. The list goes on.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into my religion, however I have prayed for myself and have gained a testimony for myself. I can tell you that I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is true, and that the Book of Mormon is holy scripture that was translated by the power of God through the Prophet Joseph Smith. I know that God is our Eternal Heavenly Father and loves us very much and wants us to be faithful that we might return to live with him one day.

How I live my faith

Right now I am serving as a missionary, to share the gospel of Jesus Christ to those who do not have the truth of it in their lives and to serve God's children.

Mormons believe Jesus Christ is their Savior. Why do we need a Savior?

Carson
The need for an atonement is of the utmost importance. We all have a little something called, freedom to choose. Sometimes we use it for good purposes, and sometimes we use it for bad purposes. But there is and will only ever be one person that lived a life, where he only used his freedom to choose for righteous purposes. That person is Jesus Christ. Our Savior and Redeemer. God knew that mankind would not be perfect, and we aren't. Every single one of us makes mistakes. That is why Christ came to Earth. He paid the consequences for our sins, even though he committed none. He purchased us with his blood, and it is only through him that we can repent and be cleansed of our sins. Show more Show less
