Hi I'm Matt

I grew up in Utah. I love the Indianapolis Colts. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 19 years old, was born in the middle of two sisters, and have just recently graduated from high school. In high school I loved to play sports, and still do, I played on the school football team all four years. I love being with my friends and family kicking back and watching a movie or playing Xbox with the guys. I plan on attending college shortly and would like to go into the medical field.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into this church and I am extremely grateful for it. This church has helped me to grow and become a better man. I have seen how not having or losing closeness to the spirit has negatively affected the lives of some of my close friends and family. This church has taught me nothing save it be what is good and right. The LDS church teaches that we can be forgiven of our sins, return to live with our Father in Heaven and to be with our families eternally. What could possibly be better than that? I also love the Word of Wisdom as it is a great thing to live by and to helps me to remain healthy and free from the drugs that can bind me. And no, drinking Pepsi is not a sin. I also love the Law of Chastity. It can seem extremely hard at time to live it but the pay off is great and i know of its great importance. I love this church and I bear testimony of its truthfulness. This church only teaches that which is good, I have prayed to my Heavenly Father and I know that this church is true. I know that the Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ. And that if you really do wish to know and REALLY ask of Him with a sincere heart you will know these things too.

How I live my faith

I attend my church meetings every week, maybe one miss a month, and I love it. I have been called as the Assistant Scoutmaster and it has been awesome. I love being with the youth again, whether it be mutual on Wednesdays, a campout on the weekends, or just teaching the Deacons, 12 and 13 year olds, on Sunday. Once a month I do my best to get out and do my hometeaching and give my families a quick lesson, but I always will check in to see how they are doing and if there is anything I can do for them. The church is really great like that, everyone looks out for and helps one another.

What is faith?

To know of something without necessarily having to see it. You have faith that water will come when you turn the faucet even though you can't see it coming. You have faith that your car will start in the morning even though your not seeing everything that goes on for that to happen. God has given us so much that is evident all around us and we need to have faith in Him and His plan. Show more Show less
