Hi I'm Rebecca Smith

I'm from Maryland. I love theatre, swimming, saxophone, politics and being around the people I love most. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm Rebecca, most call me Becca. I was born and raised in the LDS church but I'm a firm believer that everyone is a convert. I am serving in the Nevada Las Vegas Mission. I like swimming, playing the sax, goofing around, and being around my friends and family. I love theatre; acting, directing, producing; everything. I want to teach college theatre one day, as well as teaching religious studies. My life is centered around the gospel, family, and friends and I couldn't be any more blessed than I already am.

Why I am a Mormon

I've been without the gospel in my life and I know how to feels to not have the answers. Coming back to the church after a period where my family was less active enriched my life in ways I was not expecting. I was blessed with a new outlook on life, and most importantly, I knew my purpose. I know Heavenly Father is real and loves us all individually. I know he has a plan for our salvation and sent his son to atone for our sins. I know Jesus Christ is our Savior and Redeemer. I know he loves us and wants us to succeed. I know Joseph Smith is a prophet of God. I know the two personages he saw were Heavenly Father and Jesus. I know that through their power, he was able to restore this gospel to the Earth. I know the Book of Mormon is the word of God. I know Thomas S. Monson is a true prophet. I know families can be together forever. I know all these things because the spirit has manifested these things unto me. I am so grateful for this gospel and the blessings it brings into my life. I'm a Mormon because I know these things. I'm a Mormon because The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the true church of God.

How I live my faith

I live my faith in callings and by example. I have been called to be a sister missionary in the Nevada Las Vegas mission where I plan to preach and teach the gospel of Jesus Christ for 18 months. I love being involved in church, and going to church activities. Most of all I love living the standards established by the church; I am so blessed when I do so and I see my blessings flood into others lives.
