Hi I'm Serene

I've grown up all over. Just to be alive is a grand thing. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I come from a world of constant adjustments. I have lived in two different countries, four states, and eleven houses. I love studying cultures and politics. I love reading, my friends, music, podcasts, my religion, sports, jellyfish, elephants, the Beatles, and my family. Currently, I am attending Brigham Young University (studying Political Science and Japanese). I spent 18 months serving in the Japan Kobe Mission for my church.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is true. I know that God is our loving Heavenly Father. Understanding that He is literally our Father is such a fundamental, essential, and amazing foundation of doctrine. I am a Mormon because through this church`s teachings, I have come to know that Jesus Christ is our Savior. I know that the gospel is for EVERYONE and God wants every person to develop a relationship with Him. Through following Christ`s teachings, we can find real happiness and live with our families for eternity. His gospel is simple: if we have faith, repent, are baptized and receive the gift of the Holy Ghost, then endure, we can receive eternal life. I am a Mormon because this church has the ordinances necessary for savlation. A living prophet guides us! This gospel brings so much joy into my life and teaches me that I can be new, clean, and happy through a perfect Savior.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by reading my scriptures daily; I live my faith by sharing my testimony. I love praying, attending church, and serving others. Aside from attending church, I go to the temple weekly, a place which we believe to be the house of the Lord.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

Have faith and sincerely ask: emphasis on sincere. Ponder. Reading the Book of Mormon--the true word of God--helps. Near the end of the Book of Mormon, in Moroni 10:4-5 there are helpful tips. The best and most lasting way is to know through a spiritual confirmation by the Holy Ghost. The Spirit manifests God's truth through feelings of reassurance, peace, and joy. Show more Show less
