Hi I'm Steven J.Miller

I live in the small community of Hyrum in Northern Utah. I married my high school sweetheart and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a 58 year young man and can still keep up with my 5 children on the ski slopes and behind a ski boat. I find great pleasure in riding motorcycles in the mountains and raced in the Baja 1000 mile race in Mexico, and even FINISHED!! I grow great apples and love to cook smores over a fire with my 13 grand children. I enjoy working as hard as I do playing hard. I was blessed to have a great plastics business where I enjoyed the association of 60 great people everyday. I love to fly airplanes and enjoy the solitude of the skies.

Why I am a Mormon

Living the gospel of Jesus Christ brings into my life true happiness and the knowledge of the love my Savior has for me personally. This world brings with it hard times, sorrow and discouragement, but I have found joy in knowing through the atonement of Jesus Christ, we can once again return to a loving Heavenly Father where we will be together with our family and those we love here on this earth. I have found answers to life's toughest questions while reading and pondering the scriptures found in the Book of Mormon and the Bible. I know that God is a loving God, he has a plan for me, for each one of His children and would not allow us to come to this earth without a way to return to Him. I know there is a living prophet on the earth today, even Thomas S. Monson. Just as God called prophets in Biblical tmes, He has called a prophet to lead us in modern times, I know this to be true. I am eternally grateful for a loving Heavenly Father who knows me by my name, who speaks to me through the Holy Ghost and has a plan for me to return to him, if I follow His commandments. I would pray if you are reading this testimony and have questions that you read the Book of Mormon and have the courage to ask God if it is true. If you do that with a sincere heart, I promise He will answer you in a way you will know He has heard your prayer. I would then encourage you to act upon the feelings that come to you, for you too will come to understand and know that God knows and loves you. I bear witness this is true. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

How I live my faith

I love living in Hyrum, a small town with a great community pride. I have enjoyed serving on the Hyrum City Library committee where funds were raised and a new library built. I have also had the opportunity to serve in the Church in various assignments and callings. I enjoyed the calling of Bishop and Stake President, where I had the opportunity of working the youth of the Church. I enjoyed many spiritual occasions where the Lord's Spirit presented itself to young men and women. I currently have the opportunity to serve in a University Stake where it is my privilege to work with college age young men and women where I am impressed with the gospel maturity they demonstrate in their lives
