Hi I'm Whittney

I'm a cowgirl! I love the outdoors, animals, hanging out with friends and good food. I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I have been raised on a farm and around animals my whole life! I love to rodeo. I compete in the goat tying, breakaway roping, and team roping events. I currently am a full-time college student. I love hanging out with friends, going to movies, and eating food!

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because I know that we have a God in heaven that loves us. Once I opened my eyes I started to realize the active roll God has played in my life. There are no coincidences in life. There are miracles everywhere!!! I know for a fact that when you pray he is there and hears your prayers. Not only does he hear them, but he answers them too! We have the Bible, The Book of Mormon, and Pearl of Great Price all books that complement each other and all testify of Jesus Christ and how to become closer to our Heavenly Father. Over time parts of Jesus's original church were lost or changed and that is why God gave us The Book of Mormon and the Pearl of Great Price so we wouldn't have just parts of the truth, but the whole truth. I am mormon because the peace, happiness, and love it makes me feel inside reassures me that it is true.

How I live my faith

I love going to church each week. It allows me to focus on the reason why we are really here and helps me feel closer to my Heavenly Father. I love going to singles ward activities and institute to meet new people and make more friends that are around my age.

Why is authority to perform a baptism important?

Whittney
When you are baptized you need to be baptized by the right authority. Authority is someone with the priesthood. The priesthood is the authority of God given to man to exercise important ordinances such as baptism. When Jesus Christ was on the earth he gave the priesthood (authority) to his apostles to act in his behalf. Once Christ left slowly the apostles were killed until there was no one else on earth that had the priesthood or authority to do those important things such as baptism. Joseph Smith saw God the Father, his son Jesus Christ and several other apostles and heavenly messengers who had the authority. They gave Joseph Smith the authority the same authority that Jesus gave his apostles centuries before. The Church of Jesus Christ aka Mormon Church is the only church that has the authority to perform a baptism that is acceptable to God. Show more Show less
