Hi I'm Mary

I grew up in Tulsa, Oklahoma and joined the church in 1982, 30 years and many miles later I found it again.

About Me

I am a divorced female (due to spouse abuse before my reactivation to mormonism). I have a puppy named piper, and I am very interested in reading, using the internet, knitting and crochetting as well as learning new things. I have also been working on our family genealogy for many years.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have been convinced beyond a shadow of a doubt that it is the true church. In Isaiah 29:8 & 18 there is a prophecy of a sealed book taken to one in authority who says he is unable to read a sealed book. This actually happened in the early history of the church. There are many other questions I had answered to my satisfaction.

How I live my faith

I recently returned to the LDS church and so the only calling I have is visiting teaching one woman. I am also preparing to attend the temple early next year, so I am preparing my genealogy.

Are Mormons Christians?

Mary
Yes, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints are Christians. We believe in the birth, life, ministry and death of Jesus Christ. We believe that He died for our sins and will come again to take us first to the judgement and then to our reward. Show more Show less

What is being a Mormon like?

Mary
Being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints is wonderful!!! I study my scriptures, pray and attend church where I have met many friends. I have a home teacher and a visiting teacher that connect me with the bishop and should I need something all I have to do is tell them. I have a support system that is meant to keep in touch with me and each individual member (the Bishop isn't able to know the needs of every individual member) and everyone works together to meet those needs, thus bringing about the happiness and joy of every member. This motivates us to share this feeling of good news with others. So, not only is it biblical, it is a social support system that is meant to bring great joy. Show more Show less
