Hi I'm Alisha

I am a country girl true blue, through and through. I am a type 1 diabetic. I am a Medical Assistant. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I live in Idaho and suprise, supries I love potatoes. When I was 13 years old I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. This inspired me to earn my Medical Assisting degree in college, so I could help other kids cope with diabetes. I love to sing, snowmobileing, go 4-wheeling and horseback riding. I am a 100% country girl who loves the season fall, football and anything Disney related. I also really love to read. My mind is opened to so much more and I learn so much when I read a good book. Kind of dorky, I know, but that's me. My family are my best friends and I love spending time with my two little sisters. I am currently serving an LDS Mission in the New Jersey, Morristown mission and I am loving every single second and every single person I meet! I am one lucky girl to be where I am and I thank my Father in Heaven for it every day.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of this church my entire life so many may think that I am only doing what my parents have done, but it is so much more. I have felt my Heavenly Fathers love for me. I knelt on my knees and asked wether this church was truly Christ's church. I asked the Lord to show me the correct way to go. I felt like my heart would explode with love and gratitude after my prayer. I felt calm, quiet power overtake me and when I stood from my prayer I knew I would stand for this church and for this gosple for the entirety of my exisitance. I know that my family and I can be together not only throughout this life, but throughout all eternity. I know that I am not perfect and that I will mess up, but that is why Christ went through the atonment; because His love for all of us is so great that He can not imagine eternity without us. He suffered and gave so much of Himself for me, how can I not let go of my sins and the things I do wrong so I can live in His presence once again? The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is no cult and we are not a bunch of radicles as some say. We are a church that looks to Jesus Christ as our example and we belive in living in a way that we can be worthy to stand in our Saviors presence and not be ashamed, but can stand tall and know we did our very best. At the end of my life I want to have my Heavenly Father to look at me and say, "I am so proud to call you mine and to call you my daughter." I want my Legacy to that of faith and of pure Christ-like love. Why am I a Mormon? Because I know this church is the True Church. I'm a Mormon...I know it, I live it, I love it!

How I live my faith

How I live my faith is by first serving those around me. I believe that is why so many people do love this church, because it is so centered around Chist and also around giving service as Christ did His entire life. I have taught Sunday School and have been the Chorister for my church meetings. I love to serve wherever I am needed. More recently, I have been called to serve an LDS church mission in New Jersey from December 2012 to July 2014 and I Love It! This gosple has given me such joy and has been my rock, how could I not go out and share that same joy with others? I hope to humbly serve the Lord in this errand and serve all those whom I meet? But I believe that the way you live your faith is by how you treat others around you. Do you walk by someone without making thier day a little better or do you simply look away? I hope to bring joy to every person that crosses my path.

What will the Mormon missionaries talk about when they visit my home?
