Hi I'm Brisa

I'm a huge soccer fan! I'm serving a mission in CA! I dream of traveling the world. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am an aspiring ER Doctor.I am the middle child to an older brother and a younger sister. I am a huge soccer fan! I enjoy watching games with my dad. International soccer is my favorite, and I love European/Brasilian soccer leagues. I am a Missionary for the Church. I'd like to think I'm as normal as they get. I'm 23 and I hope to one day travel and backpack through Europe. I enjoy cooking/baking with my mom. Art is also a big passion of mine. I enjoy the simple things in life and I'm very carefree.

Why I am a Mormon

In short. I have lived my life WITHOUT the gospel..and I have lived my life WITH the gospel. And by far true happiness has come from living the life with this gospel. I found that life without the gospel was bland. It was happiness to an extend. But that happiness was never satisfying nor filling. It was always short lived. But being a Mormon and having the great gift of the gospel has brough me true happiness that doesn't fade, but grows. I know my role as a daughter of Heavenly Father. A daughter of a king. Life has so much more purpose now and things have so much meaning. I often before took things for granted. But I now know just how blessed I am. I know with every ounce of my body that this gospel is true. It is Jesus Christ's restored gospel. I testify of the great blessing it is to have LIVING prophets and apostles just like in ancient times. I know the church is restored in perfection and ran just as it was back then. I know Joseph Smith was a prophet of God. I am blessed to be able to say our Heavenly Father has given us a living Prophet today to guide his children. I know, I have prayed, and I have recieved confirmation through my prayers and my heart that The Book of Mormon and The Bible are the word of God. I am greatful for the atonement and the great sacrifice Jesus Christ made for me and all his children. I am thankful for temples on this earth. I know families can be together forever. I am happy. And I owe every ounce of my joy to God. This is the lords church for the name itself says so. I am a Mormon. I am a proud member of The Church of JESUS-CHRIST of Latter Day Saints. I know that wherever I am in live this gospel will never let me down. The love of my savior will never let me down. I testify of the great blessing it is to have the restored priesthood to the face of this earth, and the great blessings I have obtained in holding to the rod and knowing the truth. Amen.

How I live my faith

I definetely believe in the words of a certain scripture, "when ye are in the service of your fellow beings, ye are only in the service of your God." I believe very much in giving to others. It's definetely great to be able to follow the example of our saviour. I have volunteered for years at a Camp that is associated with Children's medical hospital and it's great to interact with children and their families that are dealing with terminal illnesses. To be able to bring a smile to their faces and a short period of time where they have no worries is the greatest blessing. I also teach Primary class at my church. It is a class with kids ages 5-7. They are the smartest group ever. It's amazing to see small children understand the love of the savior and be able to talk about it. I often time feel like I benefit more from them than they do from me. :)
