Hi I'm Jordan

I am a fourth generation Arizonan, a husband, a father of three and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I am married to a beautiful wife of 8 years with 3 children. I grew up on a farm in Arizona and after a few career changes went to work with my father in agriculture in Feb of 2012. That same month I finished my MBA. I enjoy spending time with my family and also love to hunt and fish. I served a full time mission for our church in Honduras and was able to learn spanish fluently. It was a great time for me and it helped me to increase my testimony of the truthfulness of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born a Mormon so I've always been a Mormon. However I did find out for myself that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is true. I did this through praying about it and reading the promise in the Book of Mormon (Moroni 10:3-5). Although I always new that the church taught good principles and I believed it was true I didn't gain my own testimony of the truth of the church until I went off to college. Then I realized that I was on my own and since no one was there to tell me to go to church, encourage me to pray, read scriptures, etc. I decided to continue to put into practice by my own choice the things I was taught. I soon realized that by living the teachings of the church the Lord would bless me. I have seen many blessings from the Lord in my life for living the gospel. I am forever greatful for Jesus Christ's Atonement and his willingness to sacrifice his life for us. I know we have prophets and apostles on the earth today to guide and direct us. One thing I've heard recently from our living prophet and apostles is that "The Future is as Bright as Your Faith!" I have faith in the future and that the Lord will continue to bless me and my family for living the his true gospel.

How I live my faith

I was recently called to serve as the Ward Mission Leader in my ward. As the Ward Mission Leader I visit with the full time missionaries (The two young men in white shirts and ties with name tags that are always walking or riding their bikes around your neighborhood) and discuss who they are teaching in our area to determine how we can help fellowship those that are investigating the church. I also teach a lesson each Sunday in church about basic gospel principles. Our lessons are always very informal and often turn into good open discussions about what the church teaches. I also visit a few families in our ward every month to see how they are doing. I will also be able to baptize my oldest child a year from now when she turns 8. It will be a great opportunity to baptize her.
