Hi I'm Rebecca

I was born and raised in Ohio. I attend college at BYU-Idaho and want to become a kindergarten teacher! I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 18 years old and I come from a large family that consists of eight children. They are my best friends! I come from an Italian background and I love my heritage! I love to be outdoors and do activities such as, hiking, four-wheeling, and many other various adventures. I love country music and I absolutely love to sing. It is my passion and I love being able to share the Spirit with others through my voice. I am currently attending BYU-Idaho in my first semester. I am majoring in Elementary Education and hope to someday become a kindergarten teacher. I love helping others which is one of the main reasons I want to become a teacher. I love to be happy and I love to smile and I hope to be able to impact someone's life someday!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into this church but it wasn't until I was about 15 that I truly gained my own testimony of the truthfulness of this gospel. I wanted to know for myself that God truly loved me and that He wanted what was best for me. During this time of wonderment, I spent a lot of time reading my Bible and my Book of Mormon and also praying hoping that Heavenly Father would hear and answer my prayers. I was felt with an overwhelming feeling of the Spirit of the Lord. The moment that I got this feeling, I knew that my Heavenly Father was real and that He had a true and genuine love for me. He wants what is best for me and I knew that living this gospel was the right thing to continue with in my life. I also gained a testimony of my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ! He died for me! He atoned for my sins so that I could have a chance to come to this earth! I am so grateful for this knowledge that I have of this gospel and am so happy for the knowledge of the importance of families. I know that I can be with them forever and I can also live with my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ again.

How I live my faith

I have been blessed with many opportunities to serve the people around me and I have loved doing it! I was called to be a leader among the girls in my ward ages 12-18. As president, it was my privilege to plan activities and lessons to help these girls become closer to Christ. I gained some close friendships with these girls, friendships that will last forever. I am currently a teacher at church in my ward at BYU-Idaho. I love being able to teach and share my testimony of Christ with others. I have also had many opportunities to serve in my community by offering my service to anyone that needed it. I tried to make myself as available as much as I could and I am always willing to help with any questions that anyone might have!
