Hi I'm Andrew

I am a student, a husband and a proud father. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been married to my wife for almost two years now and we have a daughter that is one year old. I am a senior in college attending full-time while working a part-time job between classes. My favorite thing to do is hang out with my family, play games together, watch and play sports, and travel.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of this church because I have received a testimony that it is the only true church of Jesus Christ. I have studied and prayed sincerely for answers concerning the doctrines of this church and have felt the over whelming confirmation of the spirit as it testified to my heart that what I have read and studied about the church is true. I continue even today, to feel that burning in my heart testifying that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the restored church of Jesus Christ on the earth today. I have no doubt in my mind that this church is directed by Christ through is acting prophet and apostles. While the people of the church including myself are never perfect, the organization and church itself is without fault. It is Christ who is the head and the foundation. My family is the most important part of my life and a heaven without my family would not be heaven. I have a testimony that this church has the authority of God to seal families together for eternity. I know that as my family and I strive to live righteously and keep the commandments of God, we will be able to share eternity together in the presence of God and his son, Jesus Christ. There is no other church on earth that holds the authority of Jesus Christ to perform ordinances and act in his name. I have received this testimony through prayer and the Holy Ghost bearing witness to me that it is true. For these reasons I continue to live and proclaim that I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

As a father, a husband, part-time employee, and a full-time student life can get pretty hard. I have come to learn that when life is most difficult it is also the most rewarding. While these last two years have been difficult for me adjusting to my new roles in life, my wife and my Heavenly Father have been the greatest support. I know that as I continue to put my faith and trust in the Lord, he will guide me and prepare a way for me to accomplish anything no matter how difficult it may seem. Personal prayer and scripture study provide me with the energy and faith to push forward when times are difficult. Because of my schedule I am often gone from early morning until late at night trying to complete my workload. I have learned that when I include the Lord in my day through prayer, the stress goes down and a peace guides me through the end. I make a constant effort each day to spend time with my wife and my daughter as they are the most important people in my life. The few moments I get with my little family each day makes every day worth living. One of the great things I love about the church is that it is the same everywhere I go. I recently had the opportunity to live in Chile for four months with my family as I attended classes at a university. I was instantly welcomed into the local ward and given a calling to teach a class once a month. Because of my weakness in the Spanish language I was nervous about this opportunity but had faith that the Lord would help me. As I worked each month to prepare my lesson, I prayed for my Heavenly Fathers help. Despite my weakness with the language I found understanding and peace when it came time for me to teach. I knew that if I prepared and put in the effort the Lord would fill in for my weaknesses.

How can we increase our faith in Jesus Christ?

Increasing faith in Jesus Christ requires effort on our part. We have to have the desire to know Christ and believe in him. In my personal life I have found that my faith grows when I serve him and keep his commandments. Whenever I pray, serve others, or read the stories of Christ in the scriptures I feel my faith in Jesus Christ grow. Show more Show less
