Hi I'm Dan

I am an oft confused student at BYU, a writer who cherishes the eraser, a feverishly loyal friend, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a student at Brigham Young University where I have absolutely no idea what I want to major in. From English to Economics to Computer Engineering, you name it, I have considered them all. I am a writer who believes in the power of words and their ability to uplift and create as well as diminish and destroy. My notable writing accomplishments are being published in a few local magazines as well as my work being prominently displayed on my parent's fridge. If I'm not writing, I'm reading. I have had a changing stack of books I've wanted to read for the past 10 years of my life and hope to one day have read them all. I love to snowboard, golf, and most importantly be with my family. I love them to no end.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of the peace it offers me. I know that I will be with my family forever and that not even death can sever the love I have for them. I know that this life is just a small fraction of our eternal existence and that any suffering experienced in mortality is but for a moment. I know that through Christ's infinite atonement I can be forgiven of any sins, and I have felt the peace He brings. I was born a Mormon because of my parents, I continue to follow Christ's teachings and be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints because I know it, I live it, I love it.

How I live my faith

I live my faith through service. In the Book of Mormon it states "When ye are in the service of your fellow man, ye are only in the service of your God." I love people and the inherent good each of us posses. I am currently a missionary of our Lord Jesus Christ in Tucson Arizona. Every day I try to help those in need. I live my faith through example. I hope that everyone I come into contact with see the way Christ's gospel has changed my life, and I hope they will desire to be changed as well.
