Hi I'm Aurora

I live in Louisville, Kentucky. I am a dancer. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am an adventurous, and enthusiastic individual. Age 25 and single, dancing, and performing arts are my passions in life! I work in a Ballroom Dance studio, dance ballet at the local company, and I am slowly working towards my Bachelors degree in Business. I used to feel horrid that it is taking so long, but I remember that "slow and steady wins the race". I want to be a motivational speaker. Obviously I have many interests and goals and ambitions but I learn something in everything I do and I want to share those things that I learn on my journey with everyone I know! Since I love to entertain, talking with people and making them feel comfortable or helping them with their problems, is something I look forward to doing. Music is also a great part of my life. I play the viola in my spare time, and look forward to learning the guitar and piano. I feel that anywhere you go, a musician is always needed somewhere, and learning at the least the piano is something I can do to contribute to society. :)

Why I am a Mormon

I love the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I know there is a tremendous and significant difference in my life when I choose to follow His teachings and implement His doctrines into my everyday life. Knowing that Heavenly Father has love for me, I know that he has love for the rest of His children on earth! I know that Jesus Christ can forgive me of my mistakes, and He is willing to hear and listen to my troubles, and eager to help me through them. I know that this is the message He wants me to share with others, that there is so much more hope when we allow Him into our lives and hearts, than when we attempt to fix our problems and lives on our own. He is loving, and giving. I learned these things through the teachings of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. If it were not for the Book of Mormon, I would not understand nearly as much depth of the Gospel as I do now.

How I live my faith

As a young single adult, I serve both in my community as well as in my congregation. I love to serve because I feel like service is a healer, and it reminds me that my problems are not that bad! I am a visiting teacher, or I care and look after, three women in my congregation. Serving them helps us build relationships both with each other, and all the other members in our congregation. It makes it so much easier to have someone I know and trust close by, if I ever needed anything or had an emergency. I also am one of the members in my branch that plans and organizes activities and parties for our members and visiting friends! This is one of my favorite things to do, because I get to involve everyone in participating in activities, events, and service projects, and we all just get to have a great time and enjoy building each others relationships. I LOVE getting to know and help and serve people this way!

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

Aurora
Yes! Heavenly Father is an eternal being. Wouldn't you think that means that there is an eternal work to be done? Or, eternal education to be had? Heavenly Father needs a worthy man to uphold His words and His works on the earth until the prophecies of old are fulfilled, and so we can learn and understand the work and responsibilities His church members have to prepare the earth for the second coming of Jesus Christ. Having a direct mouthpiece of the Lord, is essential for us to be guided to be ready and prepared, and to help prepare each other. Show more Show less
