Hi I'm Cassie

I grew up in Bountiful, Utah. I am 22 years old and will soon be serving a full-time mission in San Antonio Texas! I'm a mormon.

About Me

I come from a family of eight children and happily married parents. I am going to college and I live in an apartment with my best friends. Last year I went to Costa Rica for three months and worked in orphanages and it was such a life changing experience. I love funny skits and TV shows such as Ellen, SNL, Modern Family, and many more. I love anything that makes me laugh. I love to laugh! I have a lot of nieces and nephews and I adore them! Family is so important to me.

Why I am a Mormon

I was lucky to be born into a Mormon family. I was taught the truth of the Gospel since I was young. My dad grew up Mormon and my mom converted when she was 16 years old. They taught me the principles of the Gospel and would take me to church every Sunday. I was able to lean on their testimonies and their beliefs until I gained my own. When I was 14 I went to an LDS youth camp called Especially for Youth where I feel like I really came to know the things my parents had taught me were true. I read the entire Book of Mormon for the first time and I took the challenge Moroni gives to pray to know the truth and I felt the confirming spirit bare witness to me of the truth. Now, I have a strong testimony of my own that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the only true gospel on earth. That it is a perfect gospel, that God loves all of his children and he has a perfect plan for all of us. I know that we can be with our families and loved ones forever if we are sealed to them in the temple. I know the Joseph Smith saw God the Father and His Son Jesus Christ when he was only 14, as crazy as it may sound, it is the truth. He received true revelation and was able to restore the true church through the Book of Mormon, which is the most correct book on Earth. I know that Jesus Christ is our Savior and that he atoned for the sins of the world. He knows our pain and he knows us all so well and he loves us more than we will ever comprehend. The atonement is real and we are able to be forgiven for our sins. I know these things to be true in the name of my Savior Jesus Christ, Amen.

How I live my faith

I am a faithful member of the LDS church. Not only do I go to church for three hours every Sunday but I enjoy participating in church activities during the week. During the Summer I was a teacher for the other women students in my area and I loved having the opportunity to teach them from the Book of Mormon and Bible and other true books.
