Hi I'm Michael Crain-Zamora

I grew up in California, love my family, love my life, know who I am, and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a college student taking a break to be a missionary in the Japan Tokyo South mission. I want to be either a Doctor or an Engineer in the future. I have many hobbies like running, sports with friends, books, and games. However, the most important thing to me is being able to do something with a friend or my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I joined at the age of eight when my father decided to convert four years after my mother converted. He performed my baptism and his faith and example have made lasting impressions on me. As I have grown to understand the gospel I have seen many miracles, such as my father's sobriety after years of daily drinking, and many extended family bonds renewed as my parents learned how to forgive others as Jesus forgave them. Things like this kept me in the church in my youth during both the good and bad times. However, the reason why I am still a member of this church today is because I have a testimony of the Book of Mormon. I have studied it, I have prayed about it, and I have heard The Lord speak to me through it. I know without a doubt it's a true record that could not have been written by a man, especially a 14 year old farm boy. It is through this knowledge that I know The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is not just another religion, but that it is God's kingdom on the earth, the only way to receive the most happiness in this life and in the life to come. That is why I will never leave this church.

How I live my faith

I do what Christ said to his disciples many times in the scriptures "follow thou me". Jesus Christ gave us the perfect example of how to live our lives, and so I try to follow that example every day. I am imperfect, I make mistakes, but I work everyday to repent and change. I stick to what I believe and don`t back off on what I stand for. I might not know everything about the world, but I know that the teachings of this church lead to true joy in this life and in the life to come. I work every day to become more like Christ and have his guidance in his life, and accept any and all callings he gives to me.

Do Mormons regard the Bible as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

Michael Crain-Zamora
The Holly Bible to me is one of the greatest books here on the face of the earth, I know that by reading it, one can create a special bond with the savior and that it is gospel. Us Mormons cherish it as doctrine and follow the teachings it has. We even spend two years before school every day in a special class we call seminary to study both the old and new testament to grow our understanding of it's words. The Bible goes hand in hand with the Book of Mormon and clearify each others teachings. Show more Show less
