Hi I'm Eden

I am a born & raised Kiwi girl, country & city mixed together. I'm many things to many people but firstly, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have many different interests! I work part-time from home as a parfum consultant, I am a qualified vocal coach and I sing for both work and pleasure, I am a mum to an amazing wee girl, and I am a part of an internet radio station. I make friends all over the world, I spend a lot of time learning how I can help other people because this is what makes me happiest. I try to get as involved with my church as possible, you can never spend too much time there! I've lived a tough life, but hasn't everyone? The way I see it, to love is to be loved and if you focus on moving forward then isn't that what will come your way? In this respect the Missionary men and women are our greatest resource for those that don't know or understand this church. They were amazingly helpful to me so I want to try to be just as helpful to those around me.

Why I am a Mormon

I have become a Mormon because I have asked God for a long time to show me whether this church is truly the only real church out of all those 'denominations' we see in our world. The answer I received is something I cannot deny. I got baptized because I know that this is a vital step in our preparation to return to Him. I learn more about the scriptures every day because I know that in order to live by the laws and words of God we must first know what they are! I continue to be a Mormon because I know in my heart and in my mind that there is no other way to return to our Heavenly Father, I know that the doctrines taught by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is real, and without a shadow of a doubt I believe that what I'm doing by joining this church is the right thing for my daughter. I testify to you that this church is true, that by having an open mind and asking God for the answer you will know without doubt that what you will learn from the missionary men and women and members of this church is true and that it will be the best decision you've ever made! After what I have experienced at the Temple, I can say that this is as real as the keyboard I am typing on, the screen I am looking at. It's as real as my daughter sleeping in the next room, as real as my body needing food. I will never, ever be able to tell myself or anyone else that it's not real. This is the most amazing feeling in the world. I hope one day you will feel it too!

How I live my faith

I don't yet have any callings, but I do everything I can to be as active as an active member can be. I ask around if anyone wants help with a project, when I see people who might not be having a very good day, I try to help or lend an ear. I offer help to everyone, no matter who they are. Sometimes I am asked to help with personal things too and I really enjoy getting to serve Jesus by serving my fellow men. It's what we're here to learn. I want to be available to serve at any time, and I genuinely enjoy doing so. I live by this, you are happiest when you make others happy. I have had things in my life that detract from living the Gospel. Such as music, ornaments, habits and even people. I try my best to live to the standard and example of Jesus Christ, which sometimes means I need to remove things from my life that might harm this. It can be difficult but I know for a fact that the rewards are awesome, and real!

What is the Relief Society?

It is a group of female church members over the age of 18. We do what we can to help those in need, no matter who they are or where they come from. To teach our young ones about the ways of the gospel and to be a good example to them and others of how to lead our lives. Show more Show less
