Hi I'm Ron McClellan

I grew up in Placerville, CA "Hangtown" and I work in technology and YES, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a husband and father to four wonderful children. My oldest daughter graduated with a Marketing degree from BYU-I. My second is on a Mission in Brazil and he is having a great time. My third is a senior in High School and my last is a wonderful little 9 year old girl. The family enjoys going whitewater rafting in the Sierra's and going to the beach. To get away I love to jump on my RM250 and hitting the dirt!

Why I am a Mormon

It is who I am. Being raised in the church gives a person a certain perspective on life. Although I can say I did not accept everything at face value. Like everything that is taught in the church we must gain our own testimony. We must have our own conversion. I felt like a rebel growing up. Not wanting to accept everything the church taught, thinking the world must have something better to offer. But as I became an adult I realized how much the Lord loved me and wanted me to be obedient to his commandments and that true happiness and freedom comes with willing obedience and the joy of service to others. I have a testimony of Jesus Christ and his Atonement for me. I have a testmony that living true priciples brings true happiness for me and my whole family. .

How I live my faith

I'm serving as the Second Counselor in the Bishopric and love getting to know everyone. In this church position I get to work with the youth of the church, specifically the little kids in what we call the primary. They are so much fun.
