Hi I'm Sean Crawford

I grew up in Provo, Utah. I'm an Eagle Scout and earned an IB diploma. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently preparing to serve a mission in Mexico in the Torreon region. I am currently in the MTC in Provo and halfway done before leaving to Mexicol After I serve for two years I plan to come back and attend college at Brigham Young University. I play baseball and was heavily active in the Boy Scouts of America where I earned my Eagle Scout and served as an Assistant Scout Master. I believe that education is very important and earned an IB diploma while I was in High School. I want to be an engineer when I finish college with the hope that I will be able to help develop things that will help make peoples lives easier.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I believe that it helps me to be a better individual. The church's teachings help keep me on the path to be with my Heavenly Father and help me a better brother to my fellow man. I believe that the members of my ward are a sort of extended family that are always willing to help serve one another and make sure that everyone is doing fine.

How I live my faith

I've grown up in the LDS faith. I have lived in several wards and stakes where I have served in many callings. I was involved in the leadership of my age group from age twelve onwards. My quorums always found ways to help serve those in our ward boundaries, whether by raking leaves, mowing lawns, or other types of service. While in High School I attended Seminary regularly which helped me learn about my faith and prepared my to serve my mission. I am currently serving a LDS mission and am studying the gospel from seven in morning until nine thirty at night. I am currently learning the Spanish language to be able to teach the people of Mexico in their native language.

What will the Mormon missionaries talk about when they visit my home?

Sean Crawford
I am currently a missionary of the LDS (Mormon) church. We are called to serve missions to serve the children of God. We go and spread His Gospel, His good news, to those that want to hear it. We teach about how God is the Father of our spirits and that He loves us. We teach that the Gospel of Jesus Christ helps families to be happy. Families are important to God and are central to His plan. God gave us prophets in the past to help guide the people to be happier and to follow Him. He has given us a prophet today for the same purpose. Thomas S. Monson is the current prophet tasked with the purpose of leading Christ's church. Josheph Smith was a prophet of God and was tasked to translate an ancient scripture of the people of the Americas. The Book of Mormon is a companion book to the Bible. Both are testimonies of Jesus Christ and together teach the fullness of His gospel. We teach God's plan for us to be able to return to Him after this life. We teach the doctrine of Christ's gospel. We teach the commandments that God has given us. We also teach how a person can know if these things are true for themselves. In short, we share the the teaching of our Lord Jesus Christ. We teach that we have prophets today to help lead us and that we have another book of scripture that testify of Christ and His teachings; and we teach of how we can better follow Christ to complete God's plan of happiness to return to Him.
