Hi I'm Aaron

I grew up in Las Vegas. I'm grateful for the all the blessings in my life. Now I'm working on helping others recieve them too.

About Me

I was born to a mother who had the strength to put me up for adoption. She wasn't able to raise me on her own so she choose to allow me to have a better life. I was raised for the majority of my life in Las Vegas with a sister who was also adopted. Although I was raised in a Latter-Day Saint family I struggled. I had trouble gaining my own testimony of the truth. It wasn't until I was struggling to find the point of life, and the reason why I was here. I had tried to find happiness, but without purpose life was empty. I got to the point where I was willing to give everything to know what the truth was, why I was here, and what I should do. I knelt down and prayed with all my heart to know if there was a God, and if there was what I should do. The answers I got were so clear that I could not deny that there was a God, he was my Heavenly Father and that he did have a plan, and a purpose, for me.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of what I know. I know that God is the Father of us all. I know that He formed all things so that we can learn, grow and progress. I know that He wants all of His children to recieve Eternal Life, and because of that He sent His only begotten son, Jesus Christ, into this world. I know that Jesus Christ came to this earth and organized His church, and that through His Atonement we can all become complete and be able to return to live with God. I know that because of the rejection of the Christ and His apostles that much of the truth was lost. I know that because of the sincere desire of his heart Joseph Smith was given an answer from God, and provide with the guidance to translate the Book of Mormon and restore the Church of Christ in its fullness. I know the Fathers plan of happiness and the joy and peace that it brings to me. For these reasons, and many others, I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I love to serve. I love seeing people through the eyes of God. Seeing them not as they are, but as they may become. Whenever I find the opportunity I try to uplift and help all those around me. When I serve I feel the love of my Father in Heaven. I feel that I would be very selfish of me to not help others find the truth and experience the happiness that I have found. I am currently serving the people of México on a two year mission.

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

Aaron
As members of the Church we respect Joseph Smith as a prophet of God and we are gratefull for his service and role in the restoration of the fullness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We only worship God the Father and his son, Jesus Christ, the risen Lord. Show more Show less

What do Mormons believe about the Bible? Do they regard it as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

Aaron
We believe the Bible to be the word of God as far as it is translated correctly. If we study the bible we can realize that the Bible has been changed and that parts of the original text are so worn that they can hardley be read. That is why we believe that it is and has always been the word of God, but sadley we know that many of the simple and precious truths have been lost from it. Show more Show less
