Hi I'm Bethany

I grew up in Utah. I traveled to Thailand on a humanitarian trip and now I'm returning there on a mission. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently a full time college student now preparing to leave for a mission in Thailand. I enjoy serving others. Each week I volunteer with a local Special Needs Mutual group, I frequently volunteer at the elementary I attended as a child, and in the summer of 2011 I had the opportunity to travel to Thailand on a humanitarian trip. I am overjoyed I will be returning to Thailand to preach the gospel for 18 months.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I truly believe that this is Christ's only true church on the earth today. I know that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ live. I have prayed to find out for myself if this church is true and the overwhelming peace I felt and continue to feel is amazing. I know that Jesus Christ is my eldest brother and my savior. I know He took upon Himself the sins of the world to allow us to be resurrected and live for eternity with our loved ones. I know the Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ. I know that in this book we can find answers any time we sincerely look. I know that God answers our prayers if we ask with a sincere heart and having faith that he will answer us. I know that no problem is too small in God's eyes and that he will answer any question we ask. I know that Joseph Smith saw the Father and the Son in the sacred grove and that through much faith and diligence he was guided to restore this gospel upon the earth and translate the Book of Mormon. I know that temple work is a vital and sacred part of bringing to pass the immortality and eternal life of all men. I am so grateful for this gospel and everything it has taught me and shaped me to be. I'm grateful for the ordinances that allow me to live with my family forever and look forward to bringing this gospel to the people of Thailand so they too can be with their families for eternity.

How I live my faith

I love participating with a Special Needs Mutual group each week and interacting with those amazing individuals, helping them learn more about Christ and His gospel on this earth. I am also a primary teacher over ages 4-5. I love working with these children as they are just developing their testimony and belief in the gospel. It is amazing to see the joy this gospel brings even at such a young age.
