Hi I'm Cassidy Draper

I'm a nursing student, I love to laugh, I love serving others, I'm curently serving a mission in North Carolina, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was in school to become a nurse. I work at a elderly care center, and have fallen in love with the elderly. I love them so much!! I have always had a passion to serve and care for others. It is my dream goal to become a pediatric nurse and work with children at Primary Children's Hospital. I decided to take a break from pursuing my career to serve a full-time mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Raleigh North Carolina. I love to sing, dance, go camping, go boating, shop, vacation, and play piano. I love my family and would not and could not be who I am without them. I have been blessed to have loving parents who taught me principles to live by. I believe the one and only true church on this earth today is the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints!

Why I am a Mormon

I think even if someone is raised in the Mormon Church, like me, we still have to have a personal conversion to the gospel. When I was 12 years old my brother was killed in a car accident. He was 16 years old, and was killed with his best friend. It completely devastated my family. He was taken so young, and I started questioning things. I believe it is through the hardest trials that bring us closer to our loving Father in Heaven. Trials bring Faith. "....the darkeness may not dissipate all at once but as surely as night always gives way to dawn, the light will come." Even though my brother was gone and was missed incredibly my family made it through. I know that we could not have done in without the belief that we will see my brother again. We will all be reunited again someday. Families are able to be together forever. This experience and many others have given me conformation that Heavenly Father cares about us, he wants the best for us no matter who we are. I know that if I live the gospel I will have true happiness. I LOVE being a Mormon!!

How I live my faith

I am currently serving a full-time mission in Raleigh North Carolina. This is the happiest time of my life. The message of the gospel can change our lives. I know this because it has changed mine. "And if it so be that you should labor all your days in crying repentance unto this people, and bring, save it be one soul unto me, how great shall be your joy with him in the kingdom of my Father!"(D&C 18:15) I love being able to share this gospel with people so they can experience the happiness I have felt because of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
