Hi I'm Bryson

I spend my time with family and friends. I enjoy the outdoors, working out, and wrestling. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

The relationships with my family and friends are held most precious to me. I have the most fun when I'm spending time with them. Our ideas of fun usually include bike rides, late-night games of hide and seek in the woods, going to the beach, and most importantly we love pulling pranks on each other! Of all my friends I have grown especially tight with my mom and little sister. Other things I enjoy doing are weight-lifting and wrestling. I competed as a wrestler all four years of high school. I learned through wrestling that there is absolutely no substitute for hard work. If I wanted something I had to go out and make it happen.

Why I am a Mormon

My testimony of this church is rooted in the truthfulness of The Book of Mormon. Although I have been born and raised in this church I did not develop a true testimony until my Junior year of high school. During that year I began seriously reading the Book of Mormon. I read it every day looking for answers, and really trying to understand what its teachings meant. After reading it consistantly for a few weeks I began to notice that my life had changed significantly. I was happier, less problems occurred during the day, I never got angry, and everything about my life just seemed to work out. After seeing the blessings that came from reading this book I began studying it even more faithfully. I felt a sense of freedom as my willingness to serve God increased, and my desires for worldly things were diminished. My growing testimony of the Book of Mormon was finally confirmed in the month of May at the close of my Junior year. Near the end of the Book of Mormon in Moroni 10:4 there is a promise given that whoever reads this book and asks in the name of Christ if it is true will be given an answer by the power of the Holy Ghost. Never before had I taken this promise so seriously, and so I decided to act on it. I knelt down one night sincerely asking for the truth to be made known to me. I testify that once the Holy Ghost manifests himself to you there is no denying it. This has been the root of my testimony ever since. Because of this moment I can declare proudly that I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by seeking to imitate Christ in all I do. I know that everything I do has an impact on either myself or someone else. Most especially I want to be a good example to young children. One way I am doing this is through my decision to go on a mission. I prepare daily to teach the word of God by studying the scriptures and praying over the doctrines they teach. I know that the Lord has entrusted me to be His servant, and that I have been given the opportunity to literally change lives. Since every soul is priceless to our Father in heaven I know that I must carry out this work with love and delicacy. Like our Heavenly Father, every soul is priceless to me as well. That is why I try to live every commandment with exactness so that I can be led by the Spirit to find those who are ready to accept and live the word of God themselves.
