Hi I'm Shannon

I am married with three beautiful children. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy scrapbooking and crafts. I love organizing and cleaning as my three children give me plenty of cleaning to do! I love to read my scriptures, because it makes me feel so happy and comforted when I do. I love to draw and paint. I am a nurse, but choose to stay home with my children. My family is very important to me.

Why I am a Mormon

Both of my parents were members when I was born. I was given my blessing by my father as a baby. When my parents divorced, I later was baptized at the age of 11. The church wasn't a high priority in their lives after their divorce as they remarried non-members. I chose as an adult with small children to return. I remember the values and lessons they taught us as little kids, and I felt that this would be wonderful for my children to be a part of, and it has. This has proven to be one of the best decisions I have ever made.

How I live my faith

I recently taught the primary in my most recent calling. It was something I had never done before, but it seemed so natural to me. I was able to easily teach these precious children things that I, myself, had just become familiar with as I had been away from the church for quite some time. I am so glad that I had that little prompting telling me to seek out the church. I have a whole new wonderful church family in addition to my own family. I have never felt so loved in my entire life. I have the support and friendship of others ad that means so much to someone who struggled as long as I did before.
