Hi I'm Taylor

I grew up in Star Valley Wyoming. Oldest of 4. Becoming a music therapist at USU and loving every minute!

About Me

Hello beautiful world! My names is Taylor. I have such a strong love and appreciation of God and of this gospel and the influences they each have in my life. I have the most fabulous parents ever, and 3 adorable little brothers, who fill my soul with joy! I'm currently serving a mission in Boston Massachussets, which I'm thrilled out of my mind about! My great passion for life is music! I love making music in any way I can! I believe that there is a certain truth to music, because listening to it helps me feel the spirit, and the spirit's role is to testify of truth! If I had to define music, it would be pure truth, because it fills me with the spirit! Music is a huge part of my life, but more importantly, my relationship's with my family, including my Heavenly Father, and my Savior, are of huge importance to me! I have learned to trust in the Lord and follow his promtings throughout my life! I am greatful for every experience I get to serve him! My deepest desire is for God's will to come to pass. I think I have great reason to rejoice, because that will obviously happen! Yippie! =)

Why I am a Mormon

I am a mormon. I know it! I live it! I LOVE it! I was so very fortunate to be raised in a home where the gosple was taught. I learned for myself little by little as I grew up, that this church truly is the restored gosple of Jesus Christ. I know this is true; for the Holy spirit warms my heart as I live the gospel! As I grew, I wanted more than anything to be able to stand before my Father in Heaven one day and for Him to tell me that he was proud of me. I attended church regularly, went to additional gosple principal classes, begain reading my scriptures regularly and prayed earnestly to be able to give a little back to my God after all that he has given to me. I am extreamly greatful for the scriptures, for the living prophets and for modern day revelation to help guide me through my life. I know that Jesus Christ suffered all things for me. I know that he and my Heavenly Father love me, are involved in my life, and have a plan for me so that I can receive a fullness of joy! I rejoice in the atonement of the Son of God! I rejoice in the experiences he has laid in my path to help strengthen me! I know that this gospel is true! God's power and authority are upon the earth! He wants all of his children to partake of the fullness of joy by following the saviors example and being baptised; whereby, we can continue to receive further blessings, and make even more sacred covenants with God! I testify of the truthfullness of these things and do so in the name of Jesus Christ amen.

How I live my faith

I beleive that I have a duty to consecrate all that I am to helping serve God and bring his will to pass. I know that I am fullfiling this duty by serving in callings within my church. I have served in quite a few different callings before. I have acted as a leader, and teacher to the woman in my ward. I helped organize visiting teaching, and take attendence and do whatever is required of me in that particular feild. I have grown to love those beautiful sisters in God as I served them! I have always found that God blesses us with a love for those whom we serve! I try desperatly to be able to live up to my commitment to consecrate all that I am to help in the church. I am currently serving God as a missionary! Trying to bring the world His truth!!! =) I am defiantly not perfect, but I have a lot of comfort in the knowege that I am doing what I can! =)

What is being a Mormon like?

Awe! Let me just tell you, it's the best thing! ever, i don't mean to sound bias but being Mormon totally trumps being anything else i can ever think of! Mormon's make the best friends! What goof balls we all are! Mormon standards keep us pure and clean, happy and safe. Not to mention, we truly do have all the truths God has to grant us, ready at our finger tips! All the truth God has to offer that is necessary for our salvation and happiness, can be found in the Mormon church! =) Let's be Mormon! Show more Show less

What are some things that tell you there is a God?

Looking into a child's eyes. The sun peaking through the clouds. Thunderstorms and rain. The beauty of the earth. Galaxy upon galaxy. My physical body. Human nature. Our free will. Music. Family. Feeling truly loved. Feeling truly forgiven. People who are good, truly amazingly good. People who have taken the worst and given the best. Any human life. The prophet Alma goes on to say, "All things denote there is a God." If we look closely, we can see that this is true. I believe everything bears witness of God. Anything on this earth is parallel of His divine nature. Show more Show less

Can you tell me about Mormon customs: how you dress for church, what holidays you celebrate, etc.?

Mormon customs...hmmm. Well there are many different auxiliaries who do a lot of activities with one another throughout the week. For example, the Woman's group (Relief Society) may get together and have a class on preparedness, or budgeting or parenting etc... Mormons like to get together and have missionary farewells or homecomings for their loved one's who serve missions... I'm trying to think of anything else that is uniquely Mormon... Dating is a fun event. Mormons know how to date! We typically think of the most complex ways ever to ask each other out. When it comes to celebrating, we celebrate pioneer day! July 24th, when the settlers from the west made it into the Salt Lake Valley, escaping religious persecution. Other than that, we celebrate Christmas, Easter, Valentines Day, St. Patrick's, Labor day, Presidents Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Birthdays, New Years, April Fools. Any local/regional holiday. =) Show more Show less
