Hi I'm Lindsey DeLaMare

I'm a return missionary from the South Dakota Rapid City Mission. Each day I have the opportunity to serve my Savior. I am Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in the great state of California. My hobbies consist of horseback riding (Equestrian Jumping), hiking, backpacking, golf, basketball, the lake and hanging out with my amazing family and friends. My husband Taylor and I met while serving our missions and missionary work is a huge part of our family! I plan to be a middle school math teacher and want to become a mother and have a family of my own. I know in this, I will find my greatest joy.

Why I am a Mormon

I decided a long time ago that the Lord just wants us to be happy. The church has not always been the number one priority in my life, but when it is, I have found my greatest happiness. What I mean by greatest happiness is knowing that I literally am a daughter of God and He is my father. When I live the way He wants me to, I literally am aligning my whole self with Him. I am fulfilling the full measure of my creation. That is why he gives us guidelines such as the commandments, word of wisdom, law of chastity, etc. Because living these guidelines brings us closer to our Heavenly Father and it aligns us with His will both spiritually and physically. Being a Mormon, a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints brings me peace and real happiness that is so hard to find in this world that seems so devoid of standards. Because of that reason, I gained a testimony which eventually led to my conversion. This gospel is true and God is real and there for us. If we look at what happens at the end of each day, we can find the Lord's hand in the details of our life. He has a deep personal love and concern for us and I know with no doubt that he has been in my life and he has helped direct me to this path, which reaches far beyond what I could fathom. He has so much to offer and all we need to do is have faith in him and follow him. I have always known that Jesus Christ is my Savior and Redeemer and that He is the son of a living God but through being Mormon, I have come to know who My Heavenly Father and Savior are.

How I live my faith

I served for 18 months in the South Dakota Rapid City Mission for Christ's church. I could not have asked for anything better or dreamed of anything better. I had a once in a lifetime opportunity to spend every moment I had devoting every ounce of my soul to inviting others to come unto Christ and helping this great cause, the cause of our Redeemer. Simply, I got to leave everything behind to take 18 months literally following the steps of Jesus Christ and representing him to the fullest. My mission has taught me so much on how to implement my testimony of Christ into my actions. I have served in a few callings which all consisted of service. I have found that I love to serve! It is my passion to help people, whatever kind of service! I love how President Hinckley said that we are the symbol of our church. Because of this, I pursue to live my life as humble, faithful, and diligent as I can. I hope that through my actions, I can emulate Christ.
