Hi I'm Jared Raiford

I was born in Texas but grew up in Utah, and I am going to school to become a pilot.

About Me

I went to school at South Valley Regional Airport and taking private flight lessons in a Cessna 172s to become a pilot. I want to continue my education to get my degree in professional and get a job at a major airline. I play the piano and cello, I started the piano when I was little and started the cello in the 8th grade. I love spending time with my family, we love to go camping and dirt bike, hike, and ski. I worked as a life guard and swim instructor. My personal interests are flying, swimming, spending time with family and friends, playing video games, rock climbing, dirt biking, camping, and being a Mormon!

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church and have lived it all my life, naturally I have had a rebellious phase where I questioned the gospel but with prayer and reading the scriptures I have recieved a spiritual witness that the church is true, have found true happiness in life and that drives me to share it with others as a missionary and a member of this church.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving a mission in Arkansas.

Do Mormons regard the Bible as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

Jared Raiford
Yes, our 8th Article of Faith states "We believe the Bible to be the word of God as far as it is translated correctly; we also believe the Book of Mormon to be the word of God." Through personal study of the Bible I have found that it is missing plain and precious things and contradicts it self which causes much confusion. This results from many incorrect translations of the Bible. We believe the Book of Mormon to be the most correct of any book on earth, it clarifies and fills in the gaps, it supports and exalts the Bible. Through them both we know the true and everlasting gospel. Show more Show less
