Hi I'm Xander Day

I'm a 18 year old from Virginia called to serve a mission in the Las Vegas Nevada mission! I am a flute player and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a 14 year old from Virginia! I'm a piano player and a flute player! 3 things I enjoy doing are, Reading, building Legos, and playing Volleyball! My favorite college football team is BYU and I'm also an Oregon ducks fan!!!

Why I am a Mormon

As a youth of the church my testimony is still growing but since I was born into a Mormon family I have stuck with it. I have kept it in my life because I know that it will guide me to heaven much easier than anything else. Also I believe that there are things that we can use to help us get there. I call them cheat codes! A few examples of those are the scriptures, parents, prayer and a testimony of God and Jesus Christ. I know these things are true because I have used all of those things to help me through tough times in my life.

How I live my faith

As Mormons, Boy Scouts is one thing that we request because it involves an enormous amount of service. Even if you aren't a Boy Scout you can still do service! Recently the Mormon helping hands helped victims of hurricane sandy ages ranging from around 10 to adult! Recently I turned 14 which meant that I would have to move up from deacons quorum (for 12-13. Year old boys) to the teachers quorum (for 14-15 year old boys). I was exited and sad because I would be moving into a new quorum but I would have to give up my calling as the Deacons quorum president.
