Hi I'm Shaylin Cawley

I am human. I am American. I am Makitso (Make-it-so). I am Mormon.

About Me

I am a person who cant make up my mind. I have wanted every career and my parents always made sure I could do anything I wanted. I have learned if I want something there is nothing stopping me from reaching that goal. My determination has led to some interesting turn outs in my life including getting my Black Belt before the age of 12. I am still figuring out who I am and that's okay because I am still growing. I am still young and still able to change! I am loud, I am proud, I love to laugh. As of right now I am happy and that's what counts. I strive every day to build a better tomorrow after all out of all I was taught, "If I have a goal in mind Make-it-so." My goal to be my best. Right now I am reaching my best. I am currently serving as a missionary of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Washington State!

Why I am a Mormon

Why am I Mormon? I am a Mormon because of who I am and who I chose to be. I make mistakes I am not perfect but the promise of a new beginning means something. It means never being afraid of tomorrow. It means taking chances and having the faith to follow through. Being a Mormon to me is about family. Its about having someone to turn to. Being Mormon to me is about who I was yesterday, who I am today, and who I can always be if I chose. To me there is no greater promise, it is my choice to be this happy, it is my choice to live for tomorrow, and its my choice to be Mormon.

How I live my faith

I have had the opportunity to live who I am everyday. Everyday I get to strive to be better which is awesome. I love modesty. When I was 14 I got to participate in a fashion show that promoted modesty. The next year I helped organize the fashion show. I have had the opportunity to see with different eyes. I got to sleep in a cardboard box to raise money for the homeless. I have had the opportunity to teach young children how to better their lives. Each day I learn. Each day I make a promise to do something for someone. I make a promise to do better, to be better. I don't just live my faith, I build my faith!
