Hi I'm Rachel

I'm a college student. I'm an amateur baker. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi, my name is Rachel! I'm a college student, and I'm studying English with an emphasis on creative writing. I love writing poetry and short stories. I also love to read. I enjoy music and singing, and I like most genres. I play the violin, but I prefer baking. I make desserts, mostly.

Why I am a Mormon

For the longest time I went to church because my family went to church. It took me until I was in my teens to realize that I needed a strong testimony of my own. At first I didn't think I even had one at all. I read the Book of Mormon and I prayed, but I didn't feel like I knew it was true. I felt really discouraged, but I eventually realized that I didn't need to have a miraculous experience to know it was true. I learned that a testimony comes day after day from living the principles of the gospel. This realization has given me so much peace, and I know that I have a testimony. I'm a Mormon, because I know that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is true.

How I live my faith

I just try to live my life the way I believe. I want to be an example. I know the church is true and I hope others can see that I know it by the way I live. I do my best to serve the people in my life and be sensitive to their feelings and needs. I know I make mistakes, but I always keep trying to live my life the best I can.
