Hi I'm Sarah

I am a mother of five. I am a student of history. Through Christ I can do hard things. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I love to hike, run and walk. My children are the joy and burden, recreation and calling of my life. I enjoy history, politics, collecting cook books which I rarely cook from, and creating photo journals of all the little moments we share. Spending time connecting with dear friends and dabbling in gardening are favorite pastimes as well.

Why I am a Mormon

There have been three points in my life where I have really questioned why I remain a Mormon. Each time the beauty of God's love as expressed through the Holy Ghost to me has reaffirmed my place in our faith. That, with the understanding and love I have for Jesus Christ, His role in my life as witnessed through the Book of Mormon and His latter-day prophets have all proven to be irreplaceable anchors during extremely tumultuous and challenging times. Without His Light in my life, these trials would be dismal to my existence. But through Christ's Atonement, these troubles become opportunities for growth, beauty, new awareness, and peaks of enlightenment I never would have attained otherwise. My family is fortified, my perspective is clear while I choose to be a faithful follower of Christ.

How I live my faith

My Church community is a safety net of shared ideas, friendships and support. I have often depended on this immediate network of love to weather many of the trials that have come to myself and our family. I currently teach the ladies of our Church group, and my daughters enjoy the friendships and fun of their 8 to 11 year old girls' group. One of my favorite ways to contribute is through meeting with ladies in our congregation once a month, one on one.
