Hi I'm Matt Adams

I was born in Utah, love sports and my family. I'm now serving a mission in Russia, and couldn't be happier. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a student and Utah State University and will soon be spending the next 2 years serving a mission for the LDS church in Russia. I grew up in the Mormon church and have had an amazing family there to support me in everything I do. I love playing and watching sports, football definitely being my favorite. I played football and tennis throughout high school and loved every second of it. Spending time outside is always something i try to take advantage of.

Why I am a Mormon

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is fundamental in my life and I would be completely lost without it. The Church teaches and truly is centered around the family and that is a wonderful thing to be centered on. My father passed away when I was 9 years old and being the oldest of 4 kids a lot of responsibility was put on my shoulders. It was hard for my family and still is hard but the belief we have that families can be together forever has helped me push on through life. Being surrounded by outstanding morals is another great aspect of the Church. It teaches to live the best life possible and be the best you can be. Everyone around me helps me try and live up the standards that have been set. I know that this is the same church that Christ organized while he was on the earth. Today we truly do have a living prophet and he is able to receive inspiration for us in these the latter days. Joseph Smith truly did see Heavenly Father and His Son Jesus Christ and they directed him towards a set of plates that would become The Book of Mormon. The Book of Mormon is a wonderful and true book that teaches the doctrines of the restored Gospel completely and correctly. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints truly is the Church of our Heavenly Father. It teaches his doctrines and gives us the potential to become like Him and that's why I'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I have had many opportunities to live my faith and it has greatly blessed my life. Right now I attend a ward of young single adults aged 18-30. I get to work with the men of the ward, and it is a wonderful responsibility that keeps me busy. The guys have helped me way more than i have been able to help them. There are always activities with this ward and I always have felt included and wanted at every one. As I attend meetings on Sunday's or activities throughout the week I am uplifted by the joy that everyone around me has. The people around me help me live my faith everyday.
