Hi I'm Dawn Unga

Born and raised as a Mormom my own testimony developed as a full-time missionary serving in the Philippines.

About Me

I was raised in Laie, which is a small predominantly mormon community, on the North Shore of Oahu. I attended the local elementary, high school, BYU Hawaii campus and worked at the Polynesian Culture Center as an island dancer. While working at the culture center, many church leaders have visited but, my greatest experience was peforming for the late prophet Howard W. Hunter. The spirit of god was present and I knew that I was standing in the mist of a living prophet. Today I work in Honolulu and live in Laie. I continue to strive to be more like my Savior and count my blessings that I continue to build my testimony through the power of the Holy Ghost.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I of the great influences that I was around me.

How I live my faith

I was blessed to be around great examples of true strong LDS members and was challenged to gain my own testimony of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. I served a full-time mission in the Philippines Tacloban Mission where my testimony has become unbreakable throught the power of the Holy Ghost and where I was able to experience living like my Savior. I will continue to work on my personal progression to be like my Savior Jesus Christ and I hope to be an example of a true disciple of Christ. I currently serve in my ward as a Sunday school teacher and try to help with pushing this great work foward till the great Jehovah shall return and say "the work is done."
