Hi I'm Trevor

I grew up in Logan, Utah. I'm a young, married, college student. I have a testimony of Jesus Christ. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I was raised in an area where there was a lot of snowfall and spent much of my life snowboarding with my brothers and my friends. I played golf in high school and I also play the guitar. I have been married for almost a year now and I am pursuing a degree in Liberal arts with the hopes of obtaining an MBA a few years down the road. I speak Spanish. I love learning and I hope to never stop learning even after I complete all of my schooling.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was younger I knew I was supposed to go on a mission at age 19 but I did not want to. As I grew older I entered high school and began taking seminary classes to learn more about the scriptures and the Gospel. It was then that I began to study the scriptures on my own time in my bedroom at home. Studying the Book of Mormon especially changed everything about me and convinced me that there was truth in what I was doing. Any time I had a bad day I would study the Book of Mormon and miraculously I would feel better and this method worked every time. Experiences like these deepened my understanding of who Jesus Christ is and what He was capable of. It was my testimony of that book that changed my opinion about serving a mission, so at age 19 I went and preached the Gospel and shared the testimony I had gained for myself. Now my testimony is deeply rooted and no one could ever take it from me.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by continually learning of Christ in the scriptures so I can become more like Him. I include prayer in my daily life to stay close to His inspiration and guidance. I'm part of a presidency in my ward that watches over the teaching being done at church and in the members' homes. We do our best to help the teachers to improve the teaching in the ward and the teaching being done at home in families. Also I am a home teacher and I perform monthly visits to a couple of families with my home teaching partner to share a message with them about the Gospel and assist them in any way they might need. I live my faith by always trying to strengthen my relationship with my wife. I feel that the closer I am to her the closer I come to God. To me, living my faith sometimes means I must leave my comfort zone in order to come closer to God.
