Hi I'm Jamilyn

I am a full-time student preparing to serve for the church in Jamaica Kingston and I am a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Jamilyn-I love being with my family and enjoy meeting new people. I am currently attending Brigham Young University-Idaho hoping to one day become a Physicians Assistant. I am called to serve the people of Jamaica and will be leaving on my mission in the upcoming year. I love the gospel and couldn't be more excited to spend 18 months teaching it.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because I know it is the one and only true faith on this earth. I have always known without a doubt that this is the one solid religion that is unwavering. I know families can be forever-no matter what, and that Christ died so that our sins can be forgiven. I know that every transgression I make can be absolutely forgiven and that I can be made whole again and live with Thee again. Joseph Smith restored the gospel and was an amazing prophet. I know there is a living prophet today and President Thomas S. Monson is a mouthpiece unto the Lord and that we should listen to what he says and obey with exactness-and be disciples unto Christ. I love the gospel with all my heart and I know without a doubt that it is true. I am so grateful for it and I love it. I know these things with an absolute, unfeigned knowledge and I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving others. I was called as assistant camp director and also served as the laurel president for the young women in my ward up until I left for college. Working and being with the young women from 12 years and up was one of my favorite callings. I loved acting as their "older sister," and doing all I can to be there for them. Serving and helping those around me in any way possible helps me love and live by my faith.
