Hi I'm Amber

"I am a Coast Guard wife and mother of four. I'm a Mormon."

About Me

I am the wife of a U.S. Coast Guardsman. We have lived in many different places Alaska, California, Oregon, Hawaii, Virginia, and North Carolina. Moving as much as we do, allows us to meet and make friends all over the country and in all branches of the military. I am the mother of four children ranging from 17 to 5. They keep life extremely busy, exciting, and challenging! I enjoy my church activity and callings, spending time with my family, cooking and baking, playing volleyball and basketball, and just about anything crafty!

Why I am a Mormon

I feel so blessed to know the plan that my Father in Heaven has for me. I know where I came from, why I am here, and where I am going. These truths help me to continue to wade through the storms of this life. I also know that the storms in this life are there to help me to grow and to become a better me. I know my Heavenly Father and my Savior Jesus Christ love me, and each of us. I am grateful for the knowledge of the Savior and his example that I can follow. The scriptures give me such a wonderful guide and teach me the many truths of the Gospel. I am grateful for the knowledge of a living prophet on the earth today, who leads and guides us in our time. I feel extremely thankful for the gospel of Jesus Christ, that I have to guide me throughout my life. And no matter where I am in my life or where I live, my church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is constant. My family and I have enjoyed getting to know new friends in the many places we have lived. It is such a comfort to know that wherever we live, we will have a church to attend and it will be the same wherever we go. I know that I can continue to learn and to grow throughout my life by the choices I make, and when I make a choice that is not for the best, I can repent and be made whole again. Through all of the trials of this life, I know that if I endure to the end, and continue to improve myself, I can live with my Father in Heaven and my Savior again. These truths are an immeasurable gift that bring me comfort and peace in this life.

How I live my faith

I love serving in my calling at church. Working with the young children brings such a special spirit into my life. They are truly amazing to teach and to learn from. I love to watch them as they begin to understand and grasp the simple truths of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I see and feel my Savior's love through them!
