Hi I'm Tianna

I am an aunt, a musician, a beach lover and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Arizona, moved to Idaho and then Minnesota for nine years. I considered Minnesota my home- until two years ago when I moved back. Moving was very hard for me, I had just made some very good friends who helped me realize my potential and my worth, but I did it and I am so glad that I did. I do not think I would be on the path that I am today had my family not moved "home". Because of our location, I was able to diagnose some odd health issues with Neurocardiogenic Syncope. I have since been able to be prescribed medication to help manage my condition and my day to day life has improved drastically. I also have deepened my love for my family. Moving away from friends was difficult for me- but it seriously helped me realize how my family is really my closest friends. I love them so much. Music has been a great part of my life, as well. I love all types of music. I play the flute, oboe and although I am not the best singer in all the world, I love to sing. Last fall I was able to travel to Mexico to visit sandy beach and I fell in love with the ocean and the beach lifestyle, since then I have been to visit Seal Beach, Newport Beach, Huntington Beach and Palm Cost beaches in Florida. Adventures to new places are really fun, and as these adventures continue I will be serving a mission for the church!

Why I am a Mormon

Being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints means the world to me. Everything I try to do in my life is to accomplish what God wants for me. I know that God is real- that He loves me and that He wants me to return to live with Him after this life. We were sent to this earth to have joy, to find- through the Gospel the truths and happiness of this life and to be tried and tested in ways to show our faith. I know that Jesus Christ died for us, that He suffered for our sins and that He knows all the things that we have and will go through. I know that Christ loves me personally and that He is perfect in all that He does. I know that if we strive to be like Him in all that we do we will be blessed. I have seen this in my life as I try to aline my will with the Father's. I know that the Doctrine of Christ is real- which starts with faith, repentance, baptism, confirmation, and enduring to the end. If I continue act on these things, some through the authority of the priesthood, I will be able to return to God and live with Him for the eternities. I know that the church, restored by Joseph Smith after God and the Son appeared to him, is the same gospel that Christ taught upon the earth and that the prophets today are the same as the prophets of old, that they can receive revelation specific for this day and age. I know that the Book of Mormon is the Word of God and that has led me through the decisions I make every day. I am so grateful for my testimony of the Gospel and I know that serving a mission and helping others to come unto Christ will strengthen my knowledge that God lives.

How I live my faith

I am excited to serve in Cincinnati, Ohio as a Sister Missionary to teach people about Jesus Christ! Deciding to give 18 months of my young adult years was a difficult thing for me to do, but after praying about it, I know that this is what God wants for me. I am excited and nervous and everything in between about serving but I am putting my faith in God and His plan for me. Plus- I hear the weather is very similar to Minnesota and the people are very nice so that is good! I know that focusing on the good, having an attitude of gratitude and doing everything possible to follow God's plan for me will allow God to bless me. Recently, I have grown to love to serve those around me. It is really fun to surprise someone with something kind like a plate of cookies or an act of kindness. I think that serving others is one of the best ways to come closer to God. As it says in Mosiah Chapter 2 verse 17 of the Book of Mormon "And behold, I tell you these things that ye may learn wisdom; that ye may learn that when ye are in the service of your fellow beings ye are only in the service of your God." I also enjoy attending the temple where I know I can be closest to my Heavenly Father. Temples are God's home on earth and when we go there we can feel of His Spirit and peace. I am grateful for the opportunity I have to attend often.
