Hi I'm Lynne Lemieux

I am a mormon. I live in Quebec Canada. I have been a member since Nov.23 1975.

About Me

I was born in a pat member family. my fathe was a member all his life and mymother was catholic. We practriced both religions for a long time attending mass in the morning and sacrement meeting in the evening .At the age of sixteen ,I had been attending mutual (the youth program) and had gained a testimony that the Church of Jesus Christ was the true church .At the age of seventeen ,I ,my sisters, and my mom joined the Church and were baptized by my father. I am so grateful for that day.

Why I am a Mormon

I began my conversion by participating in the youth program of the Church and as I was taught the Gospel , I felt it was somehow familiar. My father taught me that my Father in Heaven was a person and tht I could speak to Him as I spoke to my dad. The teachings of the Gospel are so wonderful. Especially the Book of Mormon . I was taught by the missionaries about the Book of Mormon and took the opportunity to read the verses the missionaries gave me to read and then asked God in prayer if it was true I did and the feeling of love I felt and the feeling of peace in my heart was overwhelming and I beleived. My journey began.

How I live my faith

I like to think that I live my faith every day. I love to help others and i am self employed as a Home care provider to the elderly in my community. I also love to teach Sunday school ; I'm sure I learn the most by serving in this capacity. My day is not good when I forget to pray and give thanks to our Heavenly Father for his blessings and reading and pondering the scriptures we've been given. I also am the proud mother of twelve wonderful children whom I adore and I love my husband who has shouldered me throughout my life and has supported all my endeavors. We were married April14th 1983 and are still very much in love.

Why do Mormons perform baptisms for the dead?

Lynne Lemieux
I have been able to do the work for my ancestors and have felt the Joy of knowing that they have a choice given to them even though they did not get the chance while on the earth . Heavenly Father loves us so much that every possible means of reclaiming his lost children will be applied to bring us all back to him if we choose to do so. Show more Show less
