Hi I'm Isaac H.

I'm from Idaho. I grew up working on my family's farm. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in eastern Idaho on a third generation potato farm owned by my father.I have eight siblings, three of which are adopted. I recently moved out on my own and worked for a travelling construction company for a summer before i began my Freshman year at college this fall. I am leaving to serve a mission for the church in the Maryland Baltimore mission which encompasses Maryland and part of the surrounding states.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born a Mormon. My parents both came from either part or non member families, but chose to be Mormons and raise their children the same. I chose to be a Mormon on my own when i got old enough to understand that Mormonism may not actually be the truth. I am a Mormon because i have a relationship with God. I know that he is our Father and as such he wants the best for us, he wants us to know the truth and by it return to him someday. I feel his presence in my life and know that if i was not living the truth, he would guide me to it as i seek to become closer to him and my savior Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by not only faithfully attending Sunday meetings but by visiting members of my congregation. I feel it is Christlike and rewarding to visit my neighbors in their homes not only by appointment, but whenever i know i can be of help physically or emotionally just by being with them and speaking to them. Also, i try my best to fulfill responsibilities that i am given to serve in the church. Our church is based on volunteer service and, although it is hard to fit in to a daily schedule, i know that it is important, and i try to put a high priority on my responsibilities. I feel blessed to give back to God who gave me all things by paying a tithing to show my devotion, commitment, and help others through the church programs.

What do Mormons believe happens to us after we die? What do Mormons believe about life after death?

Isaac H.
We believe that death in just a transition in life. Our spirits have always existed and it was only at birth that it entered into our mortal bodies. Through death, our spirit leaves the body and continues to progress in knowledge and ability that was not attainable while in the body. Life on earth is an experience in which we are tested while we are not in God's presence. We exist after death and can be with our families as well, if we are sealed in the holy temple.
