Hi I'm Kent

An Electrical Engineer,a French Horn player and a father. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I worked as a design engineer for about 40 years. I developed many devices for others and hold several patents. I loved my work which was deep seated in thinking logically and thoroughly, anticipating problems and conflicts. Playing the French Horn gave me time for the music inside me to have release and gave me challenges in different areas of my brain. Being a father of 8, well that is another whole challenge. Let me just say that I am very grateful that I have a good wife who did much of the Child rearing.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a sixth generation Mormon. Some of my ancestors joined the church in the early 1830's and were there to know the Prophet Joseph Smith and even sit in jail with him. I am a Mormon today because everything that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints stands for is good and right. All truth is part of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and I am a seeker after truth. I love the Savior and have a great desire to be found doing what He would have me do.

How I live my faith

When I was 19 I served an LDS mission in the Eastern part of the United States and had many great experiences. Most of all it gave me time to learn that religion if not practiced on a minute by minute part of every day was no religion at all.

Do Mormons regard the Bible as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

Kent
I love to read the Bible, especially the gospels of the New Testament. I still learn by reading both the Bible and Book of Mormon and find how they compliment each other by testifying of Jesus Christ and what His mission was. Show more Show less
