Hi I'm Lorie

I'm a busy mom of 4 adorable girls and the wife to an amazing husband. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a wife and mother. I met my husband while I was going to school finishing up my bachelors degree in Psychology. We were married, and shortly after I received my degree we had our first baby. Our first daughter was only the beginning of girls for us. My husband is definitely outnumbered by the girls in the family. We have had all of our girls naturally in a Birth Center and I cherish those memories. More than anything else, I enjoy being with my family. I love to go camping and hiking, or just about anywhere with my family. I also enjoy spending time at home playing games, watching movies, cooking, baking, doing crafts, and reading. I enjoy trying to create healthy meals that we can enjoy together. I don't think there is anything better than sitting around the table enjoying a good meal together. I love meal time. For us, it is a time to talk, joke, laugh, and eat some yummy food as well. I also enjoy running. Running helps me clear my mind and helps me feel ready to face the physical challenges of having 4 busy children. One thing I find particularly rewarding as a mother is seeing my children learn and grow. I love giving them opportunities to learn and to develop their talents. I love seeing the pride they feel as they succeed in different areas of their lives. I guess you can say, I love being a mom. I waited for it my whole life. I'm living my dreams.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a mormon because I love being a mormon. I love the peace that it brings into my life. I love the hope of being forgiven for my sins and being able to live with my family forever. I love that it helps me to be a better wife, mother, sister, friend, neighbor and person. I love that the gospel is centered around Jesus Christ and that their is so much importance placed on the role of the family. I love knowing that I am a daughter of God. I love the greater purpose it gives to my life and my roles as a wife and mother. I love that we have a prophet on earth today that leads and guides the church. I love that the gospel allows us to learn and grow. It allows us to make choices and learn from those choices. I love that the gospel is a place for imperfect people just trying to follow Christ and become better. I love my Savior Jesus Christ and his sacrifice so that I can live with my Heavenly Father again. I love being a mormon, that's why I am a mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by praying, reading my scriptures, serving others and attending church. I also teach my children about Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. We study the scriptures as a family and try to find teaching moments in our everyday activities. At church I am responsible for teaching 9 year olds about the Gospel. I see their great potential for good and I love the kids that I teach. I try to improve myself everyday and become more like Jesus. I'm not perfect, but I try, and I will always keep trying to be better.
