Hi I'm Ben

I am a missionary. I want to be an Aerospace Engineer. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently serving a mission for two years. I am in the middle of college. I am an Eagle Scout. I build models with Lego's. I collect marbles. I read, especially classical literature like Dickens. I enjoy running. I want to design spacecraft for a future career, as an aerospace engineer. I love to spend time with my family. I like doing puzzles. I love to go camping and spend time in nature.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church. One of the first experience where I truly felt a strong beleive of myself was when I was a young teenager. I was sitting in a seminary class (a religious class) when I felt the strongest, warmest, most powerful feeling I had ever felt. I knew the Book of Mormon was true. I continue to follow this gospel because I know it is true. It is just like cleansing a wound. Almost anyone knows that if a large wound is not washed, sterilized, and bandaged the wound could become diseased. Just as this knowledge keeps me from not bandaging wounds, my knowedge of the gospel keeps me from leaving, because I know it is true. I know that the Book of Mormon is true. I know that God answers prayer. I know that God loves us, and that we are his children. I know that Joseph Smith restored this gospel after the apostacy of the early church in Jesus' time. I know that President Thomas S. Monson is the prophet, and leads and guides The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I know that we can return to live with God if we will make righteous choices. I know that Jesus Christ suffered for our sins so that we can live with God. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

How I live my faith

I try to be a good example to my roommates, showing them what I believed by how I live my life. I act as an example to those who I know, and be source of strength and information to those who are going through trying times. I share the gospel in preparation for my future mission. I also go with another person to talk with several students each month. We share a message about the scriptures, and spend time with these people. I also do family history work. I try to connect my ancestral family with such networks as familysearch.

Why do Mormons believe in the Bible?

the Bible is the word of God. The Bible testifies of Jesus Christ. The Bible contains many truths. Mormons believe in the Bible because it is true, and tells of Jesus Christ. The Old and New Testament both tell of Jesus Christ. The Old Testament prophecies of his birth, and teaches his law. The New Testament tells of his life, and the early christian church.
